The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to local residents regarding the residency of 45-year-old Marjorie Felter, who has reported a move from McAllister Street to Lumber Street in Port Jervis.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Felter as a Level 2 threat, which means she is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Felter had sexual intercourse with her teenage victim in Port Jervis in August 1996 and she was convicted of third-degree rape in January the following year. Felter was sentenced to five years probation and remains under the jurisdiction of the Port Jervis City Police Department.

Earlier this year, Felter was arrested for failing to disclose a move during a routine home visit in her former home in Deerpark.
